Cranbrook Mourns the Passing of Ryan Widger

Cranbrook Academy of Art mourns the loss of Ryan G. Widger (Photography ’05). He was 42 years old. He leaves behind companion Gillian Pears (Photography ’06) and their daughter, Charlotte Francesca Pears Widger.

Widger was a Fulbright scholar whose projects took him to Sweden, where he also studied and worked at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. He recently helped update the digital lab at Skowhegan, using his ingenuity to skill set to create a state-of-the-art facility. He was currently working as Managing Director at Trace Archer.
