May 3rd, 2018

The artistic team of Hillerbrand+Magsamen is the collaboration of Stephan Hillerbrand (Sculpture ’04) and Mary Magsamen (Sculpture ’94) will present 147 Devices for Integrated Principles, a new, multimedia, performative artwork that animates everyday objects as unifying mechanisms for survival during times of social disconnect and intensified need. As an immersive interdisciplinary theatrical experience, 147 Devices for Integrated Principles literally and conceptually unpacks our relationship to everyday objects and how we use them to ease the suffering and pain in our lives. The 60-minute production is created in collaboration with playwright and author Kirk Lynn (Rude Mechs, Austin, TX and Prof. of Theater at the University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX) with atmospheric music composed by Peter Stopschinski (Austin, TX) and will be presented at MATCH in Houston on May 15 and 16 at 7pm.
