Vermeulen to Launch Photo Book about Detroit in December 2018

According to BLOUIN ARTINFO, Corine Vermeulen (Photography ’04) is set to launch a photo book of portraits and landscapes celebrating day-to-day life in Detroit. This initiative captures a resilient community in the midst of a challenging transition. “Your Town Tomorrow” is to be published in December 2018. “Depicted by national media as a place of both economic turmoil and new opportunity, the world often forgets that it is the people — not venture capital firms and new developments — who comprise the great ‘Arsenal of Democracy,’” said Vermeulen.
