This group studio crawl highlights graduates of Cranbrook Academy of Art who have built their practices in Detroit\, demonstrating how art and design is actively shaping the city’s future. Presented as part of Detroit Month of Design 2026\, this open-studio initiative moves beyond exhibition to reveal how artists and designers generate economic opportunities\, foster resilience\, and engage community through their work. \nBy opening their studios\, participating alumni connect process to impact—creating pathways for income\, collaboration\, and visibility while advancing more sustainable\, inclusive models of creative practice. \nThis event is free and open to the public. We strongly encourage attendees to RSVP so that artists may plan accordingly at their respective studio locations. \nRSVP via Detroit Month of Design\n\nA map will be available on our website as participants are finalized and the event approaches. The map will include studio hours (if they vary from our core hours 12-5pm)

DESCRIPTION:Photo: Sarah Blanchette \nJoin us for Cranbrook Academy of Art and Cranbrook Art Museum’s signature fall fundraiser — an unforgettable evening set on Cranbrook’s historic campus that brings together influential leaders across art\, design\, business\, and philanthropy. \nThis year’s event is inspired by the highly anticipated exhibition The World of Anna Sui at Cranbrook Art Museum and will feature legendary fashion designer Anna Sui as the evening’s Guest of Honor. A fashion icon with roots in metro Detroit\, Anna Sui revolutionized fashion in the 1990s with her rock-and-roll romantic aesthetic and continues to influence generations of artists and designers through her imaginative\, genre-defying work. The World of Anna Sui exhibition at Cranbrook Art Museum will showcase more than 100 looks spanning her celebrated career and explore the recurring themes and inspirations that have shaped her singular visual universe. \nThe evening will begin with a pre-glow experience for upper-level sponsors\, followed by a cocktail reception throughout Cranbrook Art Museum’s galleries for all gala guests.
