DESCRIPTION:Please join us on the Cranbrook Academy of Art campus to meet Artists-in-Residence\, current students\, and alumni\, tour studio spaces\, learn about life on campus\, and visit the Cranbrook Art Museum. Please RSVP for the Graduate Open House on Eventbrite. \nCranbrook Academy of Art offers a singularly unique educational model. At the core\, it hinges on the belief that extraordinary things can happen when people are given time and space to explore their work in a supportive and inclusive community. \nThe Academy is a graduate program free from conventional classes. Instead of a fixed curriculum\, we offer an unscripted approach that centers the questions and interests of artists who choose to come here as they strive to make sense of an ever-changing world. \nOur unique program offers an intense studio-based experience comprised of 150 graduate students where Artists-in-Residence mentor students in Architecture\, 2D\, 3D\, and 4D Design\, Ceramics\, Fiber\, Metalsmithing\, Painting\, Photography\, Print Media\, and Sculpture to creatively influence contemporary culture. The curriculum is structured around self-directed studio work\, critique\, a rigorous academic program\, and a robust schedule of visiting artists\, architects\, designers\, and thinkers. \nThe Academy is a community of makers all of whom live and practice alongside each other on our extraordinary historic campus. Our graduates not only leave with an MFA or M.Arch degree but a cohort of thinking partners\, co-conspirators\, and collaborators who will be their creative community for a lifetime. \nFind out if the Academy is right for your next step at our Graduate Open House on November 12\, from 10am-4pm. SUMMARY:12th Annual Cranbrook Academy of Art Ceramics Cup Sale
DESCRIPTION:Join Cranbrook Academy of Art for the 12th Annual Ceramics Cup Sale! Current Ceramics students will be selling small vessels\, proceeds benefit the artists and the department. Each cup is $30\, plus tax. Payment is accepted only through credit/debit cards on-site. No cash transactions. \nThe sale will take place in the Art Lab on Cranbrook Art Museum’s lower level\, admission to the museum is free all day. Museum and event staff will be available to guide guests to the cup sale and checkout. \nNovember 12th is also the Cranbrook Academy of Art Graduate Open House\, a private experience for prospective students\, and the Cranbrook Art Museum Collections Wing 11th Anniversary Celebration\, with several special programs for the public. \nPark at Cranbrook Art Museum’s lot or at the Cranbrook Institute of Science’s parking deck.
