At the core\, it hinges on the belief that extraordinary things can happen when people are given time and space to explore their work in a supportive and inclusive community. \nThe Academy is a graduate program free from conventional classes. Instead of a fixed curriculum\, we offer an unscripted approach that centers the questions and interests of artists who choose to come here as they strive to make sense of an ever-changing world. \nOur unique program offers an intense studio-based experience comprised of 150 graduate students where Artists-in-Residence mentor students in Architecture\, 2D\, 3D\, and 4D Design\, Ceramics\, Fiber\, Metalsmithing\, Painting\, Photography\, Print Media\, and Sculpture to creatively influence contemporary culture. The curriculum is structured around self-directed studio work\, critique\, a rigorous academic program\, and a robust schedule of visiting artists\, architects\, designers\, and thinkers. \nThe Academy is a community of makers all of whom live and practice alongside each other on our extraordinary historic campus.
