Alumnus Anderson Honored by HMA

The Huntington Museum of Art named Dan Anderson (Ceramics ’70) as a Walter Gropius Master Artistthis month. An exhibit of work by Anderson will remain at the Huntington Museum of Artthrough June 4. Anderson is a full-time studio artist following 32 years of teaching ceramics at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he now is professor emeritus. He has received an NEA individual artist fellowship, six artist fellowships from the Illinois Arts Council, as well as residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana (1996) and the Red Lodge Clay Center, Montana (2010, 2012, 2014).
