Artist-in-Residence Eichenberg and Alumna Mimlitsch-Gray Speak at Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum's "Jewelry of Ideas Symposium"
Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum is exploring the world of contemporary jewelry design with esteemed scholars and renowned jewelers during this day-long symposium highlighting the exhibition Jewelry of Ideas: Gifts from The Susan Grant Lewin Collection. Artist-in-Residence of Metalsmithing Iris Eichenberg will be the keynote speaker in a session focusing on the trends and developments in European and American contemporary jewelry. And alumna and jeweler Myra Mimlitsch-Gray (Metalsmithing ’86) will be part of a panel discussion discussing the subject of communicating ideas through jewelry. The symposium is November 17.
