Gatto and Wright Exhibiting at Dubois Basement

In Eastern Market, Dubois Basement is hosting an opening reception for Everywhere -Michelle Branch, a two-person show featuring new work from Academy alumnea Clare Gatto (Photography ’17) and Anjuli Wright (Ceramics ’17). The semi collaborative installation is a rendezvous of body and mass through photography and ceramics. The works are perpetually focusing and blurring, causing objects to flatten while images exude movement. This constant tension between zooming in and zooming out becomes a new space of stasis, where individual parts are simultaneously distinctive and necessary to the blending of the whole. The opening is May 5 from 6-9.
