Live 2D Design Critique

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 9pm EST, Artist-in-Residence Elliott Earls will be premiering a 24-minute video on his Studio Practice YouTube channel. In this episode, graduating 2D student Rory King gives a comprehensive critique of Earls work. In the video, Rory calls Elliott Earls work into crisis. The video also discusses parts of the 2D Design critique method.

Youtube “Premieres” happen live. During the premiere, there’s an opportunity to live chat in the right-hand pane of your browser with both Rory King and Artist-In-Residence Elliott Earls. Viewers are able to ask questions in real-time. Participation is encouraged.

Alongside the premiere, Elliott Earls will be releasing a.PDF copy of Rory’s written critique, a short e-book (for the mac and iPad) dealing with critique, and a précis (a diagram) of Rory’s argument. These will all be available for download during the live video premiere.
