Amy Weiks and Gabriel Craig Expand Smithshop in Highland Park

Amy Wieks (Metalsmithing, ’12) and her husband met in a metalsmithing class at Western Michigan University pursuing their BFAs. The couple now runs Smithshop, which produces functional and ornamental metalwork. The studio moved to Highland Park from Detroit’s Corktown to support their growing business and support further community engagement.
