November 22nd, 2019

Connie Birdsall (Design ’83) was recently interviewed by Muse about her creative journey, from “dance to design.” Birdsall is known for her 20+ years of experience in managing and creating global corporate and brand identities, marketing communications, information graphics, etc. She is responsible for the corporate identities for Starbucks, eBay, and Delta Airlines among many others. About her time at Cranbrook, she says, “I really idolized Kathy and Michael McCoy, who were my professors at Cranbrook Academy of Art, where I got my master’s. That campus was really a stomping ground for the architects of contemporary American design; everywhere I turned there was influence from legendary designers and architects. I loved it.” Read the full interview here.
