Bauhaus Show Traces Fiber Artists' Journeys, Including Cranbrook Academy of Art

The Art Institute of Chicago’s Weaving beyond the Bauhaus exhibition traces Bauhaus artists and their ties to other educational institutions, including Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Academy connections include Loja Saarinen, former head of weaving at the Academy and Eliel Saarinen’s wife; and Marianna Strengell, head of weaving after Loja.
