Tim Eads Talks Rug Tufting in Metropolis

Rug tufting has seen a renaissance among individual creators over the past few years as access to machines and online tutorials have become more prevalent. In 2018, Tim Eads (Ceramics ’09) started a company that is now a leading supplier of tufting tools and materials. During 2020, Eads’ company reported double their sales of 2019, in part due to the popularity of tufting on social media, especially Tik Tok, along with the COVID-19 pandemic.
