Qualeasha Wood's Contemporary Approach to Textiles Featured by Provincetown Independent

Qualeasha Wood discusses how she gained the autonomy to portray her Blackness or Black figures in her current fiber work – large tufted wall hangings. She credits a visit to her childhood home just before the pandemic with inspiring her exploration of tufting.
Wood (Photography ’21) will be showing new works at Gaa Gallery in Provincetown from Friday, August 6 through August 29, alongside fellow alum Kaylie Kaitschuck (Fiber ’21).
