Susan Hagen's Bird Drawings in New Exhibition at The Drawing Room

Philadelphia artist Susan Hagen (Sculpture ’83) has a new exhibition opening at The Drawing Room in Philadelphia, PA this fall. Susan Hagen: Birds of North America and the accompanying book feature miniature mixed-media drawings of male and female bird varieties spotted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition is on view from October 3 to November 14, 2021 and the opening reception takes place on October 3, 2021, from 3 to 6pm.

The exhibition and artist will be a part of several Birds of North America Programs including:
• Presentation on bird drawings, poetry readings, and drawing and poetry workshops at Wagner Free Institute of Science, 1700 West Montgomery Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19121 – October 2, 2021, noon-4:00 PM. Sign up at wagnerfreeinstitute.org
• Moonstone Art Center’s Virtual Poetry Reading, Drawing and Poetry in Conversation with Susan Hagen, Nathalie Anderson, and Lisa Sewell. For Zoom link visit: moonstoneartscenter.org. October 7, 7:00 PM
• Birding Walk, hosted by Bria Wimberly, Discovery Center, 3401 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19121 – October 23, 8:00-10:00 AM
• Poetry Reading and presentation on Birds of North America drawings at Villanova University – November 4, 6:00 PM
