Jovencio de la Paz Awarded US Artists Fellowship
Jovencio de la Paz (Fiber ’12) has been awarded an unrestricted $50,000 grant by United States Artists for their contribution to Craft. Jovencio is amongst 63 artists, designers, writers, and other makers named this year. Their current work explores the intersecting histories of weaving and modern computers. Currently, de la Paz is an assistant professor and curricular head of fibers at the University of Oregon.
The 2022 USA Fellows were selected for their remarkable artistic vision and their commitment to community – both within their specific regions and discipline at large.
