Two sculptures by Phillip Grausman (Sculpture ’59) were unveiled at the Long Island Museum (LIM) this month. The large, outdoor sculptures are of two white, stylized human heads, made of fiberglass. “Eileen,” 1993-1996, 10 feet high by 7.5 feet wide by 9 feet deep; and “Victoria,” 1999-2000, fiberglass, 14 feet high by 6.5 feet wide by 7.5 feet deep, are on loan to LIM for two years.

Before exploring the human head, Grasuman’s sculptures mainly represented germinating buds and seeds.
