Painting Alum Elliot Avis Opens Solo Exhibition at Heiress Gallery

Elliot Avis (MFA Painting 2022) opens a new solo exhibition at Heiress Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida tonight, March 17, 2023. Botting features a number of Avis’ new paintings on paper and canvas. Avis’ work explores themes and narratives that include gender and masculinity in relation to identity, how we identify with our avatars in the digital worlds and referencing art history and mythology as a universal language.
Botting is on view from March 17, 2023 through May 5, 2023. An opening reception with be held on Friday, March 17 from 6-9pm ET.
