Cranbrook Alum Meredith Morrison Unveils Solo Exhibition at PLAYGROUND DETROIT

In a recent interview with Playground Detroit, Meredith Morrison discusses her highly anticipated exhibition titled “Dreamwork,” set to open at PLAYGROUND DETROIT on Friday, July 7, 2023.
Through her multidisciplinary practice, Morrison explores the intersection of dreams, memories, and personal narratives, creating a visual landscape that invites viewers to embark on a journey of self-reflection.
In the interview, Morrison provides insights into her artistic process, inspirations, and the themes she explores in Dreamwork. The new work deviates from her previous exploration of memory and preservation of materials. Her latest series explores meditation and the process of building her large-scale cloth sculptures through beadwork techniques.
Dreamwork will be on view from July 7 through August 12, 2023. An opening reception will take place on July 7 from 6-9pm.
