Spacial Artist Zhiheng Gong's First Solo Exhibition Opens at Yiwei Gallery

Congratulations to Cranbrook Academy of Art alum Zhiheng Gong (MFA 4D Design 2022) on their first solo exhibition, Hardly Soft at Yiwei Gallery in Venice Beach, CA. Hardly Soft, curated by Yue Wu, features a unique collection of sculptures crafted from steam-bent wood. On view November 18 -26, 2023, this show is a milestone in Gong’s artistic career and a profound exploration of resilience and adaptability mirrored in the artworks’ material and the artist’s personal narratives.
An opening reception will take place on November 18, 2023 from 2-5pm.
