A recently opened group exhibition in New York features over 100 works by 61 fiber and textile artists including Cranbrook alumna, Melissa Webb (MFA Fiber 2021).

Presented by Bravin Lee programs, the exhibition references the golden thread, representing a concept that is present in all parts of something, holding it together and providing value. The work of these fiber artists considers the relationship between traditional craft and contemporary practices.

The Golden Thread: A Fiber Art Exhibition is on view from April 26 through May 12, 2024, at one of the oldest buildings in South Street Seaport, New York.
