Oceanside Museum of Art to Open Mid-Career Survey of Sculpture Alumnus David Adey
Multimedia artist David Adey’s (MFA Sculpture 2002) mid-career survey exhibition at Oceanside Museum of Art in California opens later this month. Sacrificial Bodies will span 25 years of his practice, including rarely seen experiments, brand new works, and those created while studying at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Sacrificial Bodies will be on view from April 25 through November 1, 2026. A 200-page monograph/catalog published by Ulysses Press will accompany the exhibition.
Adey’s work has been exhibited at The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Orange County Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Frist Center for The Visual Arts, Oceanside Museum of Art, Cranbrook Art Museum, and venues nationally and internationally. In addition to his personal practice, Adey is a full-time professor of Art & Design at Point Loma Nazarene University.
