Established around 1952, Studio Council, the student volunteer leadership organization of the Academy, is made up of two elected representatives from each of the departments and meets regularly with an administrative advisor, the Student Services Manager. The Council provides dialogue, awareness, and feedback among students, departments, and administration as a representation of the student body. Studio Council also determines how funds will be distributed, plans student social events and other student-initiated programs. From hosting an Orientation Welcome event, to sponsoring other clubs, guest lecturers, symposia, workshops, town halls and residencies, the group is an engaged presence on our campus.
