Sam Keller’s (Sculpture ’20) Can Series is featured in a new Salon Highlight at Louis Buhl & Co. in downtown Detroit, MI. Keller’s work is on view through September 18, 2021.

“In my ‘Can’ series, I start with found, littered, and automobile-flattened aluminum beverage cans, and meticulously cover the entire surface with Swarovski crystals.  Using this highly-ornate material, these works aim to challenge the perception of cultural and financial value through the ironic juxtaposition between the discarded and the decorative.” — Sam Keller
