Lecture: Laura Plageman

Laura Plageman transforms her photographs through image layering and collage to reflect an experiential view of nature and explore contemporary issues in landscape and photography. Her work has been shown and published nationally and internationally, including with the De Soto Gallery in Los Angeles, Pictura Gallery in Bloomington, Indiana, the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, TX, and Lightfield Arts in New York and is held in numerous private collections. She earned a BA in Art History from Wesleyan University and an MFA from the California College of the Arts. Laura lives and works in Oakland, CA with her partner and their two daughters.
