Zoe McGuire Opens New Solo Exhibition at Library Street Collective in Detroit
Current Painting student, Zoe McGuire (Painting 2023), is opening her first exhibition in Detroit, MI at Library Street Collective this weekend. The exhibition, titled Earthshine, features a series of surreal landscapes that are inspired by nature, music, and mysticism.
McGuire’s paintings explore the intersection of art, science, and spirituality, with a focus on the trinity of the earth, the moon, and the sun in relation to the origins of life. Her work is not rooted in time or place but aims to convey the energy of the natural world and the interconnectedness of humanity. McGuire’s paintings are not only visually stunning but are also imbued with meaning and intention, making this exhibition a must-see for art enthusiasts and anyone interested in the relationship between art, nature, and spirituality.
Zoe McGuire: Earthshine is on view from May 6th through June 24th, 2023 at Library Street Collective.
McGuire currently has a solo exhibition, Cambium, on view at GAA Gallery in New York, that is open through May 13, 2023. She was also recently featured in Artsy’s look at contemporary female transcendental painters. McGuire was a finalist for the New American Painting’s Emerging Artist Grant and was featured in their 2022 MFA print issue.
