Crandemonium 2025

Saturday, October 4, 2025
The Shepherd and Stanton Yards, Little Village, Detroit
Step into Detroit’s creative future at Crandemonium — the signature fundraiser for Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Academy of Art — celebrating Cranbrook’s legacy and its deep roots in the city’s artistic landscape.
This high-energy evening begins with an exclusive preview of Seen/Scene: Artwork from the Jennifer Gilbert Collection—the first public showing of Gilbert’s private collection. Co-curated by Academy alumnus Nick Cave (MFA 1989 Fiber) and Cranbrook Art Museum Chief Curator Laura Mott, the exhibition presents portraiture by 36 contemporary artists, exploring the question: How do we truly see one another?
Guests of Crandemonium will get a first look at the exhibition ahead of its public debut.
The celebration continues across the street with Art After Dark at Stanton Yards—featuring live DJs Mount Mariah, AK, and Blackmoonchild. Also with dancing, dessert, and a special viewing of “Party Store” by Amy Fisher Price. Come for the entire event – or just Art After Dark!
