Alumnus Fabio J. Fernández Appointed Executive Director of National Sculpture Society

Alumnus Fabio J. Fernández (MFA Sculpture 2002) has been appointed Executive Director of the National Sculpture Society, effective January 26, 2026. An experienced arts administrator and nonprofit leader, Fernández brings more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of artists, institutions, and creative communities.

Fernández most recently served as Director of Greenwich House Pottery in New York and previously as Executive Director of the Society of Arts + Crafts in Boston, where he led organizational growth, fundraising, and long-term planning in support of artists and makers.

Founded in 1893, the National Sculpture Society is the oldest organization in the United States dedicated to representational sculpture. Fernández succeeds longtime Executive Director Gwen Pier and will guide the organization into its next chapter, supporting sculptors working today and into the future.
