Lindsay Preston Zappas and John Zane Zappas Exhibit at Vacancy

Cranbrook alumni Lindsay Preston Zappas (Sculpture ’13) and John Zane Zappas (Print Media ’12) opened the exhibition Some Tables and Chairs at Vacancy in Los Angeles. They “attack the gallery space from both land and air.” Banks of fabric posters hang freely throughout the main gallery space, suspended in mortal stasis. Crowded in squirts and slices of image, the posters are a biopsy of Lindsay Preston Zappas’ perpetual working process. On the ground level, John Zane Zappas has placed a series of stools-as-sculptures into a fractured-rock lawn.  Some Posters and Chairs is open until March 23 at Vacancy.
