April 28th, 2014

Bloomfield Hills, Mich., April 28, 2014 — Cranbrook Academy of Art is pleased to announce the finalists for this year’s Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Emerging Artist Award.

The award is part of Cranbrook’s long-standing partnership with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and represents the company’s commitment to both the Academy and art and design education worldwide.

This year’s Emerging Artist will be selected from among the 10 finalists and will be offered a two-month stay in Berlin from July 1 to August 31, 2014. The trip includes airfare and lodging, an expense stipend of $5,000, a vehicle and an art pass that grants free access to museums in Berlin. A jury made up of local art and design educators, artists, curators and representatives from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will view their work on May 5 and select a winner.
