Volume Gallery Discusses Cranbrook in Elle Decor

Elle Decor recently talked to Clarie Warner of Volume Gallery about her gallery and the state of contemporary art today. She had this to say about Cranbrook: “Finding the right people to work with is a challenge, so we have contacts in a lot of schools — particularly the Cranbrook Academy of Art, just outside Detroit. It has a fascinating history and many of the famous Modernists taught there, including Saarinen. Their program, concentrated on more than just industrial design or furniture design, is dedicated to interaction with materials and volumes; students have access to many departments and can work with all kinds of mediums.” Read the full story here.
