Ara Thorose's Collection 'BOYD Works' Featured by designboom

Ara Thorose’s (3D Design ’15) furniture collection, ‘BOYD Works’, was recently featured by designboom. Thorose creates cylindrical, sculptural, functional furniture utilizing cylindrical shapes – abstracted from the size of his thigh. Thorose described the various pieces including chairs, ottoman/stool, and table as abstractions of the body – inspiring the collection’s name.
Each piece of furniture is made by hand using a different material, from latex, PVC rubber, polyurethane foam, silk fabric, glass, and neoprene.
