Dee Clements Named to Sight Unseen's 2023 American Design Hot List
Studio Herron, a textile and weaving studio founded by Dee Clements (MFA 3D Design 2020) was named to Sight Unseen’s 2023 American Design Hot List. The list, founded in 2013, is a guide to talents influencing the American design landscape. Her practice is inspired by The Carrier Bag Theory of Human Evolution, object ethnography, and feminism.
Clements has been experimenting with lighting and will be creating several large-scale, sculptural lighting pieces for interior design projects in 2023. She will also have two solo exhibitions this year, one in Miami with Nina Johnson Gallery, and another in her hometown of Chicago with 65 Grand.
Congratulations to Anders Ruhwald, Former Head of Ceramics, who was also named to the 2023 American Design Hot List.
