Cranbrook Mourns the Loss of Miwako Yato Teague

Cranbrook Academy of Art mourns the loss of Miwako Yato Teague (MFA Architecture 2010), who passed away in June 2022 after a short illness. She is part of a special family legacy at the Academy of Art. Her father, Takashi Yato, graduated from the Architecture department in 1977, and her brother, Takafumi Yato, graduated from the Photography department in 2007. Miwako was married to fellow alumnus Benjamin Teague (MFA Ceramics 2006).
