Iris Eichenberg and Eighteen Yuan Open New Shows at Ornamentum Gallery

Works from Iris Eichenberg and Jimena Rios exhibition at Ornamentum Gallery.

Ornamentum Gllery in Hudson, NY opens two exhibitions featuring Head of Metalsmithing, Iris Eichenberg with Jimena Rios, and alum Eighteen Yuan (MFA Metalsmithing 2023).

Eichenberg and Rios’ offerings/fragments of an autobiography features both artists’ metal works, inspired by jewelry in folklore as a shared, wearable vocabulary. Through their combined objects, they tell the story of their relationship.

Yuan’s the past-perfect features work from a new series exploring the past-perfect tense through rusted metal. Layers of rust embody traces of memory, the passage of time, and changes of life.

Both exhibitions are on view from September 28 through October 21, 2024.
