Ziqi Yuan is Academy's 2025 Art Jewelry Forum Outstanding Graduate

Ziqi Yuan (MFA Metalsmithing 2025) is Cranbrook Academy of Art’s 2025 Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) Outstanding Graduate! Faculty members from AJF Forum member schools select one outstanding graduate from the current class to be featured in a photo essay with insights into their practice and recent works.
Yuan’s essay features discussion of a range of her work created while at the Academy, including small objects, wearables, sculpture, and installation. Her work explores how emotions and memories are quietly preserved, and fade, in everyday furniture, objects, and the human body.
Of her collection of Objects, featured above, Yuan said to AJF, “Each object carries a memory and together they form a kind of poetry-where every piece becomes a work, holding a specific moment in time.”
