Herb Babcock (MFA Sculpture 1973) recently installed the piece Traveler, a monumental glass and bronze sculpture, along the iconic Gulf Shore Boulevard in Naples, Florida.

“What makes this work so compelling is its sensitivity to light and place,” says Chad Jensen, Creative Director of Method & Concept, the gallery and design studio who represents Babcock. “Herb studied the site at different times of day and considered the seasonal shifts, ensuring Traveler evolves with the changing light and coastal environment.”

This Babcock’s first major public sculpture in Southwest Florida. Read about it here.
