Ato Ribero Among Atlanta Collecting Collective's Emerging Atlanta Artists

Ato Ribeiro (Print Media 2017) is one of Atlanta Collecting Collective’s ten emerging Atlanta artists to discover. Ribeiro’s practice focuses on patternmaking, especially its history as a form of communication and storytelling with the African Diaspora. He uses Ghanaian Kente Cloth and African American quilts to reference his works made with wood, the discarded materials symbolic of how people of African descent have been treated throughout history.
