Fishman is profiled in the American Medical Association’s “The JAMMA Network”

January 30th, 2018

Artist-in-Residence Beverly Fishman is profiled in the American Medical Association’s  The JAMA Network.  In it, she discusses the role and representations of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry in contemporary culture. Fishman creates sculptural paintings—large, constructed installations with hypersaturated colors and industrial-like slick surfaces—that evoke the design of pills, their combinations in drug “cocktails,” and the colors and surfaces of drug advertising.
